Method

How we rank

Our scoring method for proxy providers: price, reliability, support, and real workflow fit.

01 · Price

We normalize public plans per GB and per IP. Reseller marketplaces can win when quality remains stable.

02 · Performance

We compare latency and success-rate signals across residential, mobile, and datacenter pools.

03 · Friction

We score signup, top-up UX, documentation, support, and real workflow fit.

What we test

Public website/API availability is reported separately from real HTTP or SOCKS proxy transactions. Proxy tests request a controlled endpoint and record success, p50/p95 latency, exit IP and region. A website response never proves that a proxy pool works.

Incident threshold

An automatic incident requires three consecutive failures from at least two independent regions. Recovery requires repeated successful checks. Automated incidents remain clearly marked until editorially confirmed.

Windows and scoring

Public pages show a 7-day summary and available daily history, with sample coverage stated alongside the result. Telemetry is never mixed invisibly with an editorial score. Comparison weights and the date last tested are published beside each result.

Limitations

Results describe the tested gateways, plans, targets and regions—not every IP in a provider's pool. Provider rate limits, target blocking and probe failures can affect a sample. Missing credentials are shown as not monitored, not as downtime.

Funding and independence

Affiliate links may fund testing, but sponsorship does not change telemetry or incident thresholds. Commercial relationships are disclosed. Material errors are corrected with a visible update record.
